The Nun had an ad on youtube but youtube removed the ad for violating its "violent and shocking content" policy. The unstoppable ad was so upsetting that a tweet warning users against it went viral racking up more than 135,000 retweets. Which actually lead to to more adults and teen to seeing the movie. The Nun also had billboards to help advertise the movie. My partner and I will use billboards to market our film.

The target audience of Happy Death Day is young female adults and teenagers. The audience was 54 percent females with 63 percent under the age 25. My film's target audience is also younger female adults and teens. Happy Death Day was advertised on social media for example Instagram and on youtube. They also had commercials on TV where a trailer of the film was played. As well as a billboard that have the same design as the poster. My partner and I will use TV commercials and billboards to market our film.

A Quiet Place attracted a wider audience than horror films of past years. A Quiet Place had a growing appeal among women and audience members 50 and older. Part of the success was due to the fact that it attracted female audience. My target audience is similar because it attracts young adults and teenagers but is also appealing to an older audience. The first trailer aired during the Super Bowl to an audience of over a hundred million. The marketing team made mini trailers on social media with shimmering audio waveforms that expanded to show silent scenes from the movie because of the lack of dialogue. On Facebook they used an interactive feature "Press and Hold", where users could press a button and watch a scene from the movie. A Quiet Place also use billboards to advertise. The aspects my partner and I would use to market our product is social media and print to appeal to a wider audience.

Today in class we analyzed some title sequences from artofthetitle.com. One that I thought was well done was Get Out. The opening scene had 3 different types of music playing when someone was packing their car in the dark, scene of someone driving past trees and in an apartment. There was no comments provided from the website. I like how it had music and how they all flowed together although they were all very different.

My partner’s and mine target audience is male and female teenagers and young adults between the ages 14 through 26 in America. The income and education level of the target audience is an average income with an education level of high school or college for four years. The personal interests of the target audience is horror films and haunted houses and trails. This is because young adults and teens enjoy thrills rather than an older audience.

My partner and I have decided to re-shoot the scenes with the detective because the dialogue does not sound natural and the actors seemed nervous. We are making the detective a girl because we had some difficulties with the detectives costume and make-up. When we re-shoot the detective scenes the actors will wear different cloths to show it is a different day. We also have to move the opening credits to the beginning of the opening scene instead of the end so it does not look like a short film. We will also get rid of the black screen with the title and moving the title to the beginning. My partner and I will carry out these changes by re-shooting the scenes with the detective on January 20th and relocate the opening credits.

The different social groups represented people that live in rural areas and people that live in urban areas. This is represents by how different Harper and Sarah act . Harper is more relaxed and Sarah is worried something will go wrong. It also represents the issues of teen peer pressured by how Harper telling Sarah she knows its safe and Sarah telling Mia she needs to calm down and if she does not come with them then she will be alone.
