Revision 2- reshoot

Image
The second revision my partner and I did was re-shooting the scenes with the detective in it because the dialogue did not sound natural and the actors seemed nervous. While reshooting we decided to make the detective a girl because we had some difficulties with the detective's make-up. Also we had the actors wear different cloths to help show it is a different day. By doing this it helps our film look more natural and make more sense.

Revision 1-opening credits

For our first revision my partner and I moved the opening credits from the end to the beginning of the opening scene. My partner and I did this to make it not seem like a short film or a trailer.

Distribution Plan

My partner and mine plan for distributing our product is to release our film to theaters. Then after the traditional 90 days have it released on DVD, Blu-ray, and On Demand. We plan on using streaming services to put our film on the market because streaming services allow for a larger audience. O ur target audience is young adults and teens and they spend a lot of time on their phones. Most streaming servuces have apps that can be downloaded onto phones allowing the viewers to have more access to our movie. Our film will also be available on Netflix and YouTube. This allows teens who did not see it in theaters to watch it by buying or renting the film. By doing this it allows more of our target audience to watch the film and allow more than our target audience to see it.

Traditional Distribution

The traditional distribution model for a film is filmmakers assigning their film to one or more distributors, who then make all the sales. A film distributor is responsible for marketing the film. Film distribution is the process of making a film available for viewing by an audience. The film may be displayed directly to the public either through a movie theater, on TV, or personal home viewing like on demand.
